Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I’m Vishal Gurung. Online, I usually go by Goblin.

I grew up in Nepal and now live in Tokyo, where I work as a System Engineer (システムエンジニア).

What I build

Backend systems, cloud engineering, automation, infrastructure, developer tools, and small products built around real problems.

I like building reliable systems, solving weird technical problems, and keeping things simpler than they need to be.

How I work

I learn by building — make something small, break it, fix it, then make it better.

I like simple interfaces, code I can understand later, and projects that keep teaching me something.

Things I like

Coding, open source, pixel art, games, random experiments, and turning ideas into real things just to see if they work.

Also walking around Tokyo and finding quiet places.

Why Goblin?

It started with Spider-Man — I saw the Green Goblin and thought the name was cool.

Then around 2013–14, I started playing Clash of Clans and saw goblins there too. Somehow the name just stuck with me.

After that, I started using Goblin as my internet name instead of my real name.

And I’ve been using it ever since.

This site

This is my little corner of the internet — a place for things I’ve built, learned, and found interesting.

I could have made a normal portfolio. Instead, I made Goblin Town, a small pixel world you can actually walk around in.

Explore my work, read what I’ve written, leave a doodle, find little things around town, or just come say hello.

Some parts are serious, some are useful, and some probably should have stayed as ideas.

It’s not really a résumé. It’s just my place on the internet.
